Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crews 1997
Crew 1: Mike and Jan Riter
On March 13, 1997, Jan and Mike Riter of Conyers, Georgia, began the mountain biking adventure of a lifetime. For the next nine months they traveled the United States in a white Subaru Outback, serving as the inaugural Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew. Now, in their third year, Jan and Mike continue to travel across the United States, leading volunteer trailwork sessions, teaching responsible cycling techniques, and promoting the International Mountain Bicycling Association. Every few months, they'll share their experience with visitors to this page.
